STEM & Black History was created to build self-esteem, promote cultural enrichment, and expose nine to twelve-year-old kids to science, technology, engineering, math, and STEM Black History makers. “I think I can.” The jingle from the legendary kids’ story of faith and determination is the foundation of this Black Awareness volume. “I think I can. I think I can,” announced the Little Engine That Could, and curious children who read about Black scientists, inventors, and scholars will tell themselves - and their parents, “I think I can!”
